PRIMITIVO DI MANDURIA
DESIGNATION OF PROTECTED ORIGIN
Wine made from vines trained using the espalier method which give us splendid grapes, which we use to make a classic and traditional Primitivo di Manduria, the way it was made in the past. The must ferments and undergoes long maceration on skins, subsequently spending ten months in steel and six months in the bottle. Ruby red coloured wine with lots of purple highlights.
Black cherries and sour cherries open the bouquet, which then develops with a persistent note of brushwood, ending with scents of cocoa. A warm and rather tannic flavour, typical of Primitivo di Manduria, born to be a structured and persistent wine. Excellent with grilled red meat and game. Also ideal with rich and characteristic Apulian rice and pasta dishes, such as baked pasta with meatballs
